HD Advance HDD shared with moded Xbox???

Hey, newbie here. Just starting to get into this stuff. I just bought an HD Advance and am planing on getting an Xbox soon. As I understand it, a moded Xbox can play games off a hard drive also. Does anyone know if I could plug a moded Xbox into the same HDD as I will have connected to my PS2 and save games for both systems without having to go but a second HDD? I'm also interested in purchasing a pre moded Xbox. Does anyone know a good place to buy one and which mod(s) you suggest (for us new guys that don't know anything about soldering or mod chips)?
