I cant get a dvd backup to work on my ps2 I got a messiah chip and everytime ive tried to do a backup the burn process turn's out fine, but the game won't start, it just try's to load but nothing happens. I use dvd decrypter to backup. anybody got an idé what the problem could be?

I can think of a couple of things that might be the problem.

1)You are using low quality media.
2)You are using dvd+r discs and you have an early version ps2. If you have an early version ps2, use dvd-r discs.
3)You are burning at too high of speed. 1X is preferred.
4)Something is wrong with your chip.

yes I got a early version ps2, but i think that my dvd burner only can burn + records, or am I just stupid?! =)

What burner do you have?

You can check using DVD Decrypter. Just select Mode-->ISO-->Write. Look under destination. Just copy the name of the burner and do a google search for it. You should be able to find out if it supports writing to dvd-r media.

I got a HP dvd writer j it only write's + I gonna have to try to make a backup with a friends computer to see if a -dvd is going to work,
