New Burner:
Sony 16x DVD+R Single Layer
DVD+R Double Layer
DVD+/-RW
DVD+/-R
CD

Disc Type:
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB (4x Compatible)

Device Im Using:
Swap Magic 2.0

I tried backing up a playstation game of mine using DVD Decyrpter. I "read" the ISO file onto my hard drive(desktop) and then "write" it onto my disc. Everything went smooth. I wrote it at a 1x speed.

It finished and I swapped it. It started up but I noticed it was kind of lagging. I started to play the game for about 5 seconds and it froze. I can still hear the audio though.

Anybody have any suggestions? Maybe its the disc? Maybe the burner?

your burner and media should be fine. I'd try a different game and see if you get the same results.

Something I noticed when Im writing the disc is the buffer stays on 100% the whole time its burning.

What causes this? Im not on the web surfing. I just let it do its thing until it finished.

Damn it.. The one that I thought I burned had the same problems as the Spiderman2 game I burned...

It lags!!! It takes forever to get from one screen to another you never get to play the game.

Im thinking its the media, but at the same time Im thinking its the "SONY BURNER" thats doing this since Im trying to burn these backups for my "SONY PS2"

Hit me back, because Im might have to take this burner back if it doesnt burn on another brand of disc!

Okay, I figured out what I did wrong. I was burning the ISO File instead of the MDS file when copying to the disc.

Is there any difference as far as making a backup off the original PS2 game, than copying another backup game? Such as quality, quickness, etc.
