You may wanna know that Halo 2 is only a build up to Halo 3 an Halo 2's ending left at a good place with MC saying 'here to finish the battle' but i didnt like the Cortana bit of the ending with Gravemind.

Yes Halo 3 looks like a sure thing, but the million dollar question is when? Christmas?, next year?, Xbox2?
They should follow it up soon while it's all fresh in our minds, and so the story flows better. Wait too long and it will lose it's impact.

Well at the end of the day, both halo 1 and 2 are some of my favourite games of all time, and ive played alot of games, if it comes out on xbox or xbox 2 ill still get it and love it lol.. jus hope it dunt take 2 long.. i think the next installment is alredy made anyway..

True, because if you look at games like halflife which is an amazing game. How long did people wait for that... all that hype, the missing code drama, yet still people waited. I guess it doesn't matter how long it will take to release the next in the series - BUT it would be nice to have it follow on sooner better than later.
Anybody heard any gossip - surely there must be some info leakage from bungie? How could they hide something like Halo 3...

Halo 3 is not out for xbox 2 as it has the same graphix as halo and halo 2, so it it cant be for xbox2.
The demo that i saw had the same graphix as halo 2 and it didnt hav proper good quality of the new xbox2.
GTA: San Andreas, is it cumin out for xbox?

Where did you see a demo of Halo 3? But if they leave Halo 3 for quite abit i think all the hype about it will go down but then again a game like this who could think negetavely on it:D

There cant not be a Halo 3 with that ending, has the Halo 2 soundtrack come out in the UK?

DGMorris hate to disappoint you but that was the E3 preview for Halo 2... I also saw it on xbox.com and they had another video.... the file for the video you mentioned said it was the E3 Halo 2 preview... I do bet there will be a Halo 3.... but not for a while.

the game i8s perfect in every way its like the hope diamond of all games so WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT......ti took three years to perfect halo 2 don't you think during those three years they were also designing halo 3 by the way theres going to be seven halo games

7 halos i doubt it... maybe 4 but that might be the longest gamein the history of video games cept maybe james bond theres a lot of those but they all have different plots.... its a good game but it could be better i beat it on legendary the first day i bought it it should have been longer....

I have a new, interesting question.
I beat the game on Legendary and there was nothing new aside rom a messgae I got. I dont know why I got this messgae and I dont know if it was only me, or it was becuase the date on my XBOX is wrong. The messgae said:
Coming February 9th
It doesnt say what is coming. I have my fingers crossed for Halo 3 but I doubt it. What do you think?

I hope halo 2 comes out soon but come on guys why would they ever ever run out of money this is the sequel to the game of the year halo 1 sold 4 million i say again 4million you have unlimited funds in my opinion 1 and a half million copies reserved i hope it comes out soon

I was just as dissapointed by the ending as everyone else, but for those unwilling to shed the blood, sweat and tears necessary to beat the game on legendary, there is another way to get the map. You beat the game, any difficulty, then do the last level coop with one person playing a completely new profile. Then, at the banshee bit where you protect Johnson and his scarab, you have the new profile do a barrel roll right and left, followed with one of those loop the loops (banshee tricks with the A button). Then you just beat the rest of the level. Pretty simple. I'm not sure how necessary the banshee tricks are, but the method has worked 2 out of 2 for me, so I'll bet it'll work for anyone else who tries.

I loved the ending, is what very bold
People seem to have to HAVE an "ending" but why?
one of the greatest film sequels of all time has no "ending" (empire strikes back)
personally I thought halo 2 ending was great.
Not too sure about finishing the game as the arbitor tho, would have preferred to be the chief.
I dont think for one minute halo 3 has been made, although the story is probably already set in stone.
I think halo 3 will be a sure thing launch, or near launch, title for the next hardware. It wont be that long away,
andddd........theres splinter cell 3, and (if we ever see it) BC, conker, half life 2 (if we ever see that too) to look forward to before then, plus tons of other good titles to keep us busy.

halo 2 is the best game ever made.....period

No doubt the game is one of the greatest, easily. And yes, the ending was fine, just so long as they plan to release the 3rd one soon. You guys should check out the other forum unther XBOX-General Discussion about that. Pretty interesting details.

Yes their will be a halo 3, the ending was just preparing for it, but it will come out on the new platfrom for xbox, heres a statement Steve Balmmer said. "We'll show you a capability inside the Office System today that delivers on what we call Information Rights Management. We're working on the next version -- I hate to tell you this confidentially but I'll have to swear you to secrecy now -- we're working on the next version of Xbox right now and we're working on Halo 2 and Halo 3, the two newest versions of the game."

Oh yeah and if the level would be downloaded wouldn't it take massive space for downloading a huge level? Cause Xbox only has about 8 gigs in its hardrive so I take that back dont be looking forward for a downloadable level the ending was just preparing a storyline for halo 3.

It wouldn't surprise me if you had to download some portion critical to the game. Just another way to force people to get Xbox live. I can't stand the way they force people to spend more money on the same game. Greedy greedy...
Same way they broke the game into halves. Before games would last +40hrs but now they seem happy to supply people with half the version, pay $50, then two months later drip feed them the other, another $50. Throw in some Xbox live features where you have to spend more money and hey presto - they have managed to screw more money out of you then ever thought possible.
How about this one - supply us the whole game all at once and let us play it just like they used to. Hell if it's that good and you can guarantee a huge amount of gameplay - charge $60 - but stop this bs.
