I live in Australia, and I can't be bothered to be ordering anything online. What is the best DVD-R disk to use? Something you could find easily in a mall or something? I've been using Laser disks, and my oh my they are shitty.
I trust TDK a lot, because of their CD-R disks. Are they good with DVD-R disks?
Cheers.

if you get verbatim you should go with verbatim data life plus discs.
Near impossible to get bad backups with them.
i get mine for 12.99 for a 25pack down at my local store.
They stock tdk for the same price but i will always go with verbatim over Tdk.
Havent had a problem with Tdk discs but i just prefer Verbatim.

Verbatim Data Life Plus, here in Canada are made by
MCC Mitsubishi Chemicals which is one of the top rated
blank DVD media. For critical data storage I always have
a cake of Taiyo Yuden as I have found them to be the best
all around. I personally use Riteck branded with the
RICHOJPN01 identifier and have had great success. Again
for backups of critical data I only trust TY. Your milage
may vary. Zeide.

Thanks for your help, I think I'll go for the Verbatim Data Life Plus. Is Verbatim reliable ie. not much fakes or bad disks floating around?

good ques. was wondering that myself. asked a guy at office depot and he said they were the same but i get the feeling he didn't know for sure. i think data life 15 pk cost more than "non" data life 25 pk. if someone knows for sure about this let us know.

I just bought some FUJIFILM. Looked at the manufacturer ID and it said TYG01 which I think means Taiyo Yuden.
I also bought some Sony's. ID is SONY08D1. Are these any good?
