I received a "Data error...Cyclic redundency check" while analysing scoobie doo 2 prior to back-up. Anyone know what might cause this.
Using DVD Shrink on a P4 1.8, 512 RAM on an INTEL 865PERLL MB. Other DVD work fine but not this one.
Just curious...
Thanks in advance,

L24

Probably a scratched or dirty disc. Check it for scratches, and carefully clean it, and try again.

It was scratched...cleaned it from the inside out and it made it further through the read process but came up with the same error further in the read...guess I won't back this one up.

Try ripping it with dvd decryptor first. Then use open file tab in shrink.

Update...
Nope, that wasn't it...got a similar error with Decrypter...I'm going tp chaulk this one up to a scratched/damaged disc due to the fack that I have no other problems with other disks.

Thanks for the help anyways.

ok update. I just got Monster to work. It was a dirty disk, two finger smug marks on it. I cleaned it with my shirt and worked fine.

this 'cyclic redundency' problem was becoming a regular thing until I tried using Clone DVD 2.5(trial version). tried numerous times with Nero, DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter with no success. first attempt with clone dvd, no problems at all. could part of the problem be the software?
