I was thinking that instead of wasting DVD-R media trying out backup games, I could check to make sure they work with a DVD-RW before wasting a DVD-R disc.
So does anyone know if the Swap Magic discs read DVD-RW?

Nope, because even if you have the same version ps2, it doesn't mean they have the same laser. Plus, if your laser is worn out, it probably wouldn't read them either.
