I read somewhere that if you complete halo 2 on the hardest mode a message with the date February 9 comes up at the end. Anyone know anything?

Of course there making a Halo 3 they announced that when they announced Halo 2. Secondly why would they release it so soon after Halo 2, and lose tons of money that they could have made with Halo 2. Thirdly I heard that Halo 3 is coming out sometime in late 2006 most likly to be pused back to earily 2007.

I think that its fucking gay to make us wait for Halo 3. They made us wait long enough for Halo 2.
I'm NOT going to wait another 3 years for another
Halo game. Plus; Halo 2 was not that good anyway.

ya i really hated how halo 2 was set up
i agree with the 2 disks
but on both of those disks they need to be longer/better
well just have to wait til 3 years or maybe even 2

I have to agree with the pointless split into a double sequel. It was an ok game, but if you ask me the first Halo was superior in all but graphics. And also what was the crack with having the delay why not piggy back the realease of the two new editions? Oh yeah they want us to be so hungry for the third we would sell our own grannies to buy it. Ridiculous marketing by bungie and a big diappointment in Halo2. Really who wants to defeat a covenant battalion only to be informed that it was all for nothing and that it is to be continued? Well sure as hell it isn't me

i was a bit awestruck at the shortened ending, i even sat through the credits (yeh u know the story). regardless, gameplay is a keyfactor and im content wit this right here. While we're all on hold, halo 2 has dynamite replay value & great multiplayer action 2 boot.
Not 2 say i aint suffering in unholy anguish 4 the next release or nuthin:[

Problems why halo 2 and 3 should not have been combined int a 2 disk set:
1: The creation of halo 2 took 2 years, imagine the 4-6 year wait that we would of had to go through, if we had done it your way.
2:It would be silly in the general idea of a storyline otherwise all great books wouldnt be in trilogies etc. Its like saying that jrr tolkein should have just written all the lotr books at once and put them in one giant book. Or its even like saying that for the star wars trilogy they should have just realeased them all at once etc. It helps prolong the life and intrest in the storyline, only those not used to something like actually waiting wont like the wait.
3: If we did it your way we would have 1 absolutely shit/rushed game instead of 2 games that actually are really good.
Just to finish off, 2 things.
1:Bungie never MADE us wait for halo 2, its not like it had been finished for 2 years and that they sat there laughing at us cause they hadent released it yet, instead they had been working on it for those 2 years for what it is today. So why dont you try designing and making a game as good as halo 2 in 6 months, thets see how u fair.
2: Halo 2 was never ever held back. Bungie never gave a release date, magazines did so really the chances are when they say it is goin to be released, it is going to be released.

yah you have a point there, they did not hold it from us, and it's not like i'm saying the game sucks, no it's a very addicting game i mean i even played it again after i beat it. and your also right that if they would have made it a 2 disk set i would still be waiting for it so they really have made it fair. i guess. but halo and halo 2 are good games heck they are the best games i have ever played to come to it.

Sorry if my post sounded patronizing in any way. I wasnt saying you didnt like halo anyway, I was just rying to make it sound more general cause I agree halo and halo 2 are absolutely amazing. I actually expected a negative comment to what I said so sorry again for the tone of my post but thanks anyway.

Ha, actually I beat halo 2 really quickly, i didnt like how quick it went by, it was like, I bought it on saturday night, beat it on monday night, pretty easy, though i was on easy mode...only a few things i can say, the waiting till 2006, personally i think that sucks, but its better because in 2006 you'll be glad you waited cuz it'll be that much better cuz you were so patient and now your excited, the only thing that really sucked about Halo 2, was that half the friggin game, everything was dark and you couldn't see, I hated all those caves and passages and not knowing where to go, that sucked, I would have preferred that it was like Halo 1, and everything went by pretty quick, anyways this is getting long, and if you want a first person shooter/third person acrobatics attack game, try "Star Wars Jedi Knight 2, Jedi Outcast" its amazing, although there is jedi knight 3, and maybe 4 now, 2 is the best, graghics amazing, computer game, and try the multiplayer for the computer, my name on it is ">zr<WarAllTheTime", there is capture the flag, free for all, duels, third person lightsaber kickass, anyways, later

I think it is safe to say that some people are complete idiots and that refences such as "lightsaber duels kick ass", or "cuz you were patient, cuz you were really glad you waited" merely prove my theory. YOu cannot say the game was eay just by playing it on easy (that is I have only one hand and I need time to look and move) mode.

I personally thought that the lightsaber duels were fun at first but got quickly boring, it was very unrealistic. If you want a good starwars game get Knights of the Old Republic. But anyway back to halo 2, I hate it as well when everyone says "it was too short" and all they played it on was easy. Yeh ok try playing it on heroic first time through. Try even playing on legendary and see how well you do.

Yes but I was comparing that 19 hours on legendary to the 6 hours on easy. It is still isnt a short game and you have to admit, when you played it through it wasnt too easy, otherwise you could have done it faster. Has anyone here tried getting the skulls yet??
