It should be. Or someone could have created an invalid file for their own amusement.

You could try a program like WinISO to check it.

Or ask the person you got it off. :)

I am not so much concerned of the authenticity of the file its just that I have never dealt with an .img file before and am basically wondering how to burn it onto a disk, preferably with Nero.
