face it. if you beat halo 2 legendary in 8 hours.....you have no life..seriously.. last year i finished 2nd in the halo tournament where all the best from canada showed up...i am currently on a sponsered halo 2 team and we are awsome. having said that i beat halo 2 on ledgendary in 11.5 hours... whoever beat it in 8 hours gimme your gamertag and let me play u.

Back to the question about what xbox 2 is gongi to look like, I'm pretty sure the only people who know what it's gonig to look like are the creators and Bill Gates. There is no way they would let those plans leak. I don't think we'll know anything else about it until they decide to make a public announcement.

in order to really find out if u can beat in 8 hours you would have to try and see how close you get if you get close enough-you can bet theres someone out there better than you who can probly beat your time .... but i still think it isnt likely... my gamertag is Bjet 1

Hey, new user here...
I couldn't help but post an idea about the Ark. I noticed one guy very early on in this topic posted it as being like Noah's ark. Here's another idea that sounds a bit better to me...
In the Bible, there was a thing called the "Ark of the Covenant". Now...Doesn't that sound convienient? I do believe if I remembeber correctly, anyone who touches the ark, will die, unless appointed by God.
I am wondering if maybe it is the same Ark of the Covenant from the Bible, that is on earth. No one knows what is in the Ark. So, Bungie could go out on a limb and say that the Forerunner put something in that Ark, and sealed it. I know this sounds really far fetched...And it is. But, some of it at least sounds...interesting.
...So do all who live to see such times, but that is not up to them to decide. All we have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us.

For infohalo, the guy that claims his brother works for bungie (hahaha) and anyone just wanting to know about Halo 3.
I hope they don't make a Halo 3, at least not for several more years. Maybe in another 6 years or so would be good. For one, give Bungie a chance to make other games, they do make other games, and most of them are good. I'd like to be able to read more into the series because I liked Eric Nylund's books. However, another Halo game needs to wait. Another thing, they can milk the profits of Halo 2 for a long time coming. The rumor of them putting out Halo 3 in December or February is completely asinine. Microsoft publishes the thing and they're not stupid enough to make such a terrible marketing decision. Releasing a Halo 3 in a few months from now would take away future proftis of Halo 2, not to mention even if Bungie DID have to split the project up into a second game, there is no way they would release it so soon. Halo 3 will have even higher expectations then Halo 2 did and look how long it took them to meet the expectations it had. If Bungie did do something so stupid as to release basically Halo 2.01, not Halo3, in December, it would just screw them over in the end.

i think if xbox 2 comes out before 2006 then the next halo will come out before 2006 especially if its not going to be on xbox 2

Well hello people, i have read EVERY post in her so far, and i tell u what, its a lenghty at least 2 hour read......... yeah, i got bored... But yes i'm new to this site and i doubt i'll post much, but, i did read the level 7 in whathisname's post (no offence, and i hope i spelld that right) back on page 2, and wheter its true or not, it seems like it follows the currently known, true, story line of halo 2. because if you listen closly to Cortona (hope i spelted her name right, too.... its 3:30 in the morning and i'm VERY tired BTW) on one of the first levels, she says that she doesnt even think the the covenent were expecting to find the humans on earth, such as they were allready looking for the Ark just in case they didnt find another Halo. Now, when someone first mentioned to me the the Ark was Earth or on Earth i totally dismissed the idea. However it seems to be headed directly towards that. Also, i'm pretty sure the the last thing you hear when u beat the game is "...the Ark, of course." right after that, it shows a picture of Earth with MC coming out of warp space or whatever. Thats a pretty subtle hint if you want to call the Earth SUBTLE anything lol. Also the idea of Noah's Ark saved a select few from the anger of the Great Flood keys perfectly into the story however thus making the game "Halo" a religious game in a small insignificant way. Now also some1 metioned the "Ark of the Covenant" where only the one selected by the gods could touch it without dying, or something to that effect... (sorry if i offend anyone with my incomplete knowledge of the Bible) we already know that the covenant just a Religion, with the Prophets as the "Preists" and they are looking for Halo and the Ark so that ties in perfectly with the backdrop of either "Noah's Ark" or "The Ark of the Convenant", and now its 3:45 and i'm extremely tired, so i hope i said everything that i needed to say, oh, and if anyone wants to add me to their GAMERTAG friends list, my GT is "AlphaZap01", i allready have 100 friends so i'll try to free up some spots tomorrow, or if i'm still full just send me a message.

Hey,im kinda new to this,but i have read all of the past 12 pages. What some of the guys are saying that halo 3 was normally Halo 2 except that it was to big and they decided to be "greedy" and split it and make Halo 3.I wanna know if this is true and whats the newist word on Halo 3

O,and one other thing, scooter8 i some what agree with u that they should wait before they release Halo 3,but 6 YEARS? I think that maybe that they shouldnt release it right away but,but not that long like 3 years,and Im not for-shure that Halo 3 is coming out Feb.9 2004,i think,and i heared that u will be able to download maps off Xbox Live and they might change the way u choose games for halo 2,but thats what i think only if the rumor that they split halo 2 so there could be a halo 3,but if that is true,then that would give the Bungie guys enough time to add some touches for it,but that does not mean that they will release it on Feb.9

K seen as everyt 1 ignored me earlier im gonna try an be nice. Halo 2 was good but i think that bungie should work on new projects so we can see wot they can really do. Especially on the Xbox 2!

every 1 has been saying that halo 3 is coming feb. 9, 2005 and others are saying it isnt, im right now confused what to beleve,that halo 3 is coming febuary 2005, or that u can download maps for halo 2 on Live,im not disa-greing with u im just saying that its kinda weird to think that halo 2 was split to make halo 3 and that there already done and its coming out so fast
