Does anybody out there know how to play Back-up games on the new PS two? I know of people talking about taping something here, glueing something there, but I also heard that there's a "boobytrap" on the this new Slimline Pstwo that activates when these methods are used. Well supposedly they activate the "Boobytrap". So is there a "safe" way to fool this new system without opening the system? (i.e; without voiding the warranty) Also what is the correct procedure to Burn games with Alcohol 120% or Nero 6?

Back-up is another word for burned games or "copies" of games.

Simply adding a tiny bit of superglue to the tape will cause no harm. I used some thin tape to ensure I will be able to remove it easily. I used scotch tape. My ps2 has been working for weeks. The only reason using superglue would mess things up is if you add a s*** load of it.
www.consolesource.com ships almost everywhere in the world. Swap Magic is only $20 US there.
1. Get SM and a PSTwo. SM comes with 2 discs, one for booting cds and one for booting dvds.
2. Open you pstwo. Get some scotch tape and super glue.
3. Locate the 2 'sensors'. Cut a tiny piece of tape about 3/8"x3/8" (three-eighths by three-eighths).
4. Apply a little bit of superglue on the sticky side of the scotch tape. Just enough to barely cover the entire piece of tape.
5. Put the tape on the 'sensor'. Do the same for the other 'sensor'.
6. Close your pstwo. Put in the Swap Magic dvd. Turn on the pstwo.
7. When it gets to the Insert Disc screen hit the eject button and put in your burned game.
8. Hit the X button (plug in your controller first if you arent smart enough to have alread done so).
Thats it, nothing more to it. It will not cause the lazer to burn out. Unless you go crazy and start breaking stuff off your pstwo.
My PSTwo is a model 70011 US if anyone is curious.

Thanks yudda111. I appreciate your feedback. There's one more thing I need to know though...actually a couple more things. One, where are these sensors located at? And two, do you anything about the Alcohol 120% or Nero 6 Burning procedures? On the Alcohol 120%, I put in Metal Gear Solid 2 and burn it, but, I also notice on the data type selection, you can choose Playstation1 or 2. I can only mess with those selections when the game is not in my drive. It won't allow me to mess with the data type with the game in. Anybody know why? Does it matter? Also, how long did it take for your Swap Magik Disks to arrive to your home once you placed your order? Do you use version 3.0?
