I'm a complete novice so apologies for ignorance here.

I've transfered video footage from a DV camcorder to the hard drive of my PC through a fire wire. Windows Movie Maker however insists on playing back the movie with a "drrring" sound. It's as though the picture and the sounds jams for a second then moves on. CDs copied to the hard drive are also doing this through windows media player. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong!!!
