I have had some doubts that my Belkin PCI High speed usb (2.0) is working as fast as it should be. When it is burning with Decrypter it had written as fast as 6.0X or 8900 KB/s. I tried hooking up the IEEE cable to see how that would work and found the write rate to be the same. Is this right? Maybe my PCI 2.0 card is not working as fast as it should?. It is registered in the device manager as working properly and says its a high speed unit. It's getting to be a bit of a pain in the ass to find out if it's the disc's or the firmware or the Sony hard ware or the PCI uSB card that's the problem. My Sony states that it can write at 8X, but it hasn't so far. Any help would be appreciated. This is the last post on this prob. I will just resign myself to the 6.0 X speed and live with it untill I buy another 2.2 USB ready computer I guess.
