Your still wrong :-)
The fact that the disks come from Taiwan is that the company's that MCC manufacture's the disks for are located in Taiwan. Did you ever think of that?

Good Day :-)

Ok bbmayo, and because you need some sources read this from MCC's company site:

"Mitsubishi Chemical is going to cooperate with CMC Magnetic Corporation by supplying the expertise of manufacturing technologies and experienced personnel, inspecting the products based on the quality standards of Mitsubishi Chemical to secure the same quality with the own product of Mitsubishi Chemical."

Yes MCC are still good media (although I would prefer the made in Singapore).

The results are OK.

But the recipe with the new TDK 8X, unfortunately is very bad... (uptodate)

... However the press release that the link directs us to says nothing at all about CMC manufacturing DVDs for MCC ... It is talking about CD-Rs, video tape and floppy media ... CMC has never had any problems with CD-R media ... But I repeat .. The press release says nothing at all about CMC making DVDs for MCC ! ...

Yeah I noticed that to catfreak I just got tired of arguing my point.
You see I can't for the life of me understand why a far superior company(MCC) would allow a much less quality company (CMC) put there name on there disk. That would just plane be stupid. Just not a very good buisness decision. You can look everywhere on the internet and everything is bad for CMC on the other hand it the opposite for MCC. It would be like Fisher putting a Bose logo on there stereo system. Does anyone else think about this like me or am I way off here, and getuo is right?

Have a look at the date before you make any safe assumptions...Then there was not DVDs on the market...

And do you mean that MCC is stupid enough to allow CMC produce their CDs, but not their DVDs?

ok , here goes .. i think i kind of understand what qetuo is implying ..i hope anyways? i think hes saying that taiwan made verbatim are coming from a cmc factory but when they stop making cmc dvd's they switch out formulas and materials to make mcc dvd's . for example there are factorys that make high quality products and then cheap less expensive quality products . so i think if mcc was coming from the same plant the only way mitsubishi would allow them to stamp there code on these disks would be to use their materials , hence a better quality mcc disk . so infact they might come from the same plant who cares it's still a different product . well thats what i think might be happening ? thanks for your time :)
