Hi there people.

I do got a copy of Ratchet and Clank 3.
I can easily burn this on a DVD-r...

The problem is more of booting it up.

Regarding the TOC of the ratchet-iso is 4.07gb
Do I need to put in a "heavier" dvd-disc before ?
-or is that not needed ?

Because I dont have any original DVD-game that
is larger than the Ratchet-DVD.

And where can I read up on how to use dvdLoader ?
-can anyone tell me exactly how you do to boot
DVD-backups ?

myself has been using
1. swapmagic 3.0 CD (yes, CD)
2. then swap to swapmagic DVD
3. then boot the dvd-backup

But I guess you could put in the swapmagic DVD
already at step 1, and boot the DVD-backup on step 2.

But I have been reading.... and still didnt found any
"generic" way on how to boot dvd-backups.

Please enlighten me ! I want to learn...

Thanks. There will be no problem with bootin the game.
Ecxept that i know that the DVD is over 4gb.

I dont have a original-game over 4gb.
Do I need it ? or will it be enough to use swapmagic DVD ?

And another thing.. how come I only need CDLoader
to boot a dvd-backup. I have heard about dvdLoader,
but it might not be to any use really?

try this way to boot your backup of ratchet and clank 3
1.boot your swapmagic cd and swap for cd loader by flip/slide, then press x
2.cd loader boots(if you have a v7+ ps2 then press x now and scroll up/down to the 5v3 no pn option and press x, returns you to cdloader screen), press eject to open tray and insert your swapmagic dvd, press eject to close
3. wait for it to say ps2 dvd in lower left of tv screen, when that appears press x
4.wait for swap by ea method prompt to appear on tv screen, when that appears swap for backup by flip/slide and press x
5. your game should now boot

I got to try that at home later on.
THANKS.

one question though that about one thingie.

EA swap, what is that really ?

for me there are two ways of ejecting the tray:
1. the regular eject (a simple push, as 'normal' people does)
2. push and hold in the eject-button until the tray comes out by itself...

the EA-method, is that as number two above ?
or is it something else ?

I searched for EA swap, but I couldnt get any decent
hits on how really to do it.

Thanks.

ea swap means however you swap for backups, either slide card, fliptop, no-solder mod, etc.

Hey can you tell me what TOC means? And why you keep asking whether or not you need a heavier disc? Is it some way to decept your PS2 to recognize your back up is the orignal one even though you already use the Swap magic CD? Thank u.
