Hi, I'm a newbie in using HDD. I just wonder can I use any brand (Western Digital, Mextor) of hard disk be the HDD? Or do I need to use any specific brand of hard disk.

maxtor is recommended, western digital will not fit.

Thanks for your reply. But what you mean of Western Digital not fit, do you mean the size of HD doesn't fit into PS2 or something else?

correct, the western digital hdd will not align with the ps2 network adaptor.
