i am havin a problem. i was burnin movies fine up until a few weeks ago. i thought it might just be new movies that u couldnt burn but i tried to do an old movie and it did the same thing. now what it is doin is it will burn like 4 percent usin xcopy xpress and then finalize leavin i guess u call it a coaster. then i tried to use dvd shrink and at first it said error then said session fixation error. then i tried to simulate a burn and it said somethin about this type of media cannot be used. the funny thing is i burned a movie last night on dvd shrink and it burned but only played on my pc and not my dvd player. now i cant get anything to work and i dont know why out of the blue it is doin this now. also i been usin the same media for 5 months when i got the computer which is a HP with a 300c HP burner and the media i use is verbatim and memorex.
appreciate the help thanks in advance

Where exactly is your problem? I'm not understanding your question 100%. Are you only haveing a problem burning the movie? Are you having a problem ripping the movie to your HD? Sounds a lot like media problem?
Memorex are one of the worst media out there. Run your blank disks threw Disk Detector available here on AD and tell me what it reads.

I remember having a similar problem, I have to unselect the [start new mutisession disc] and select [no mutisession disc] and check finalize disc. After that everything burn completely. however this will not work for you since you already select no mutisession. the only other things i could suggest is to reinstalling the burn program if that fail. try reinstalling or repairing you OS.

THE ANSWER
I had the same problem, it's the cd's or dvd's not a hardware OR SOFTWARE that is the problem. My problem was with princo DVD-R a bad batch it there manufacturing. Get new disks and try again (with different batch number).
