your status will change soon enough. they go through the accounts every 6-8 weeks(if i remember correctly). It has been a while since I've noticed changes so it should be soon. I think.

It's recognition that keeps me posting. And after all, i'm a human being all, ho ho ho.
Happy holiday.

That is very true for alot of people, but the best recognition are the "Thanks" you get from other members for helping them.

If you say so. Anybody can post in let say "suggestions and feedback" or just respond to "Forum new and announcements", and reach member status and eventually addict.

Someone could reach member level and higher without helping anybody and just asking questions.

I guess if you want recognition for belonging to the forum I guess you've got a point.

In my opinion "thank you" is being recognized by others that have been doing this way longer than me for posting good information. Or the thanks you get for pointing someone in the right direction. That's what keeps me posting to this place. It makes me feel like my time and my effort have been recognized and valued.
As flip said, I've seen newbies go up in status just from posting to the test thread trying to get their sig to work right.
In this last round of "promotions" I missed senior member by 4-6 posts(can't remember exactly), but it doesn't matter to me. Why? Because I know that with as long as I've been here, I still have alot to learn even though I posess a fair amount of knowledge in the areas that I participate in.
Titles are merely just titles. Just because you have one doesn't necessarily mean that you've earned one. And you will know when you've earned it because others will acknowledge it.
Sorry for rambling on, but I just felt compelled to offer my opinion on the matter.

Im not complaining about the whole number of posts ranking system,
but i do feel that mods are going to have to crack down on people who do purposely double post, post s*it that doesnt need to be said, spams forums and jsut fills the forums with c*ap just to increase there user accounts.

I think people who are caught doing this shud be given their own rank of A*sehole haha, or sumthign more tasteful like total noob that cant be changed. Haha.

Just my opinion thats all

Does that include posting on a thread that has been dead for more than 4 years?

on a side note, JOSh765, you're a gooner, therefore your opinion doesn't count for anything. ;-)
