Hi, Had my box chipped for ages did it myself, executer 2.6 (with the adaptor) so not too technical. That part was easy. Its all the other parts!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for an idiots guide.

You dont need a router to FTP. just a crossover cable.
A croosover cable looks like a normal cat5 cable but the orange and green pairs are reversed at one end.
As for an idiots guide what exactly doyou want to know?

www.xbox-scene.com is a good start for lots of good tutorials.
