HD Loader - Games not showing up anymore...

ok so this is what happened:
I used HDL Dumb to install an ISO, then used WinHIIP to install and MDS file. When I loaded WinHIIP I noticed it read "bad.ptrn" or something like that under status for two of my games but didn't think it meant anything cuz I JUST finished playing them. I put the drive back in the PS2 then the two games no longer show up on the load screen...

can anyone help me either get the games back or tell me what happened and how to avoid this from happening again?
