you can either do a direct copy or make an iso image file and burn that. Many people like using DVD Decrypter to make iso files and burn them, and it is quite simple. Also, try to burn at the slowest speeds possible. Might want to find out which version ps2 you have to determine which dvdr's you will use.(+or-). I believe 4 and up can do either, but versions earlier than 4 only read dvd-r's.

Usually you shouldnt require the use of DVD Shrink.

when you open dvd decryptor, go to MODE>ISO>READ, this will copy the game and make an iso file on your harddrive.

Then, go to MODE>ISO>WRITE and select the iso file that you just made. It will burn the file to a dvdr.

You will need a modchip to play backup games. Unless you go with the SwapMagic disks method. Swap magic disks are about 20-30bucks and easy to use, and depending on your ps2 version number may not need any internal modification at all. Search the forums to find out which method is right for you.

wouldnt go that far to say it was easy, basically you have to modify the front of your ps2(take the tray front off) then slide a special tool(which comes with the kit)across the front to open the tray, then u put in boot disc, boot up ps2,take out boot disc in the same way you opened it first time round, then do it again to load up backup.my advice is use a soldered mod chip like the messiah 2.if ps2 breaks(which it probably wont!!!)then simply go and buy another one.slide cards are too much hassle.new ps2 costs around £80.who cares if guarantee is void!!!!p.s just buy ps2 backups, there are only around £3.50.best of luck.

well, you only have to take off the front piece of the drive tray once, which takes minutes, if that. Then, the actual swap method takes like 15 seconds to do, after you've done it once or twice. It is simple, and this method is for the people who don't want to attempt soldering anything in their ps2.

i wouldnt solder myself anyway,i get some else to do mine.i supply ps2's fully fitted with messiah, for £130.all i was saying was,mod chips are easier to use.no disrespect to tomcloake, but he didnt even know if he had to alter ps2,therefore modchip more striaght forward to use.
