burning speed problem, plz help!!

i cant burn the backups at speed of 1X, im usin nec 3500a with ritek G04 dvd-r.

when i play my burned ps2 game, it sometimes skip

Try burning at 2x. When I burn games at 1x the game will skip and freeze. My decryptor will let me burn at 1x, 2.4x, and 4x. I burn it at 2.4 and it burns flawlessly.

Do you guys use dvdr's with 8x max or 4x max? I know i had problems with using 8x max disks. Also, i always burn at 1x and i never have a problem.

Certain media will only let you burn at certain speeds even if you select a speed below that stated for the disk. My Ritek G04 disks allow burning as low as 2x but my Ritek Go5 disks only allows as low as 4x. It is therfore dependent on the media. Information in decrypter will let you know what the lowest speed for the discs are. Hope that helps abit

dragulaAC hi always used 8x max and burne it at 2.4x,4x max unless it will skip during video of the games
