It takes a few disc's to make this game boot up on your version-7 ps2.
You need a gameshark2 version-2
Start without codes
Then cd loader from swap magic fix-beta 5v3 no pn
Then insert your swap magic dvd
This should get you past the freeze on the "o" during start up.
go to swapmagicfix.com and download cd loader burn it to a cd a use to play splinter cell i had the same problem and it worked. when the cd loader loads press x to go to options and choose 5v2 no pn then load the game
