San Andreas ISO Problems Please Help

Hello, I'm new to this forum and all that jazz, so here's my question. I have a playstation 2 with a 120GB harddrive in it. I boot up using HD Advance 2.0. I am trying to get an ISO image of GTA:SA onto my computer so that I can transfer it onto the harddrive already installed in the ps2. When I try using the ps2 and HD Advance to copy the DVD, it doesn't work. When I try using either Alcohol 120 or DVD Decryptor, it doesn't work. Every time it gets to 80%, it gets read errors and stops. Please help.

When trying to play the game regularly, the ps2 will freeze. I am trying to solve this by putting it onto the hard drive. Thanks.

I also forgot to mention that I was unable to get Alcohol 120 to read it at 1x. It won't go slower than 4x. With DVD decryptor, it won't go slower than 2x.
