how come I can watch downloaded movie on PC but cannot burn

I have tried alot of things and read alot of info. and for some reason I cannot burn a downloaded movie, I can see it on pc it is real clear but reading video help has not done me any good it says xvid and type is AVI. can some one help me before I go bald.

An inquiring mind and the ability to move your mouse pointer to the Guides and Search functions at the top of this page would help. You need to convert your file and guides are availabe on how to acheive this e.g.,
