Hi, i have tried backing up my madden nfl 2005. I used dvd decrypter (iso read, iso write), with ritek g04 (slowest: 2x). When i tried to play it, it loads for a VERY VERY long time. I tried changing the disc read speed too. When you get into a game its is ok...., but during menu screens, it is very slow. Can someone please help me?

your using the dvd 5 version right? does the game actually boot or does it just hang?
mod or swap disks?
matrix infiniy modded ps2 (broken, burnt out PS1 fuse)
xbox(freshly softmodded with krazies)xbmc dash. Stock HDD.
www.norcalmods.com did my ps2 mod, cheap n fast:)

i have a v7 ps2, i use swap magic. I use ritek g04 (4.7gb) DVD-r. i can boot the game, but when i play it, and when i go through the menu screens, it loaders very long. I woundering if there was a way I could fix this... maybe burn it differently...etc..

well i know one way that would be a sure way....... GET A MOD CHIP!!!!!!
but you wont do that lol.. you could try cd loader disk... i think that should help the loading time... idk somehow that used to work for games like that.

Umm, if you mean use the cd version of swap magic, it wont work. madden nfl 2005 is a dvd backup, not cd.... thanks for the advice though...

This is the first game i made a backup to when i got my fliptop and swd. The way i made the backup may seem dumb, but i had no clue on how to do it. I just made a direct copy of the game using Nero 6.0. The game works great, but of course using my method you won't be able to play online.
Another suggestion would be to go and use a different type of dvd media. Trying using fujifilm. i am a big fan of that media since it always works for me.

no by cd loader i meant the disk you use for games that wont play... you can download it from swapmagic fix.com
boot the game in this order
swap magic cd->cdloader disk->hit eject, put in swap magic dvd, press x.-> fliptop slidecard game in... press x to play:) (this is the exact reason i got a mod chip)

can it help make it load faster? well since cogswaploader doesnt wrok for me i guess i should get the dvd loader instead of cd loader...
i didnt know it makes the game run faster???

You mean it's already on your ps2 hdd?
Normally, to play backups online you need to get the dnas id off of the original disc with 'Disc ID utility', then patch it into your .iso image file on your computer and then burn that .iso file onto dvd.

sd123123 - I had the same problem as you. To fix it you need to patch the dnas (even if you don't want to play online) A lot of online games are like this, most of EA Sports games are like that. Simply patch the DNAS and burn again and it will work perfectly.

U don't need to patch Madden 05 to play it. The problem is probably your DVDR type. Riteks aren't the best in the world so try HP those work for me.

i didnt seem to have any prob w/it at all.
ver4 ps2,fliptop,swapmagic 3.3.
used dvd+r sony. burned at x4.
ripped for 6 mins burned for 14 mins.
perfect backup.

The dnas id is for ps2 games online, not pc games. Depending on how they run their servers, you might actually need a valid serial number to play online, like for HL2.
