Hi! I've just burnt a backup of Resident Evil Outbreak (US version), and I'm using the Action Replay (AR2) to use as my disc swap. I managed to do the Double Swap (Load up AR2,on the menu put in Original PS2 DVD game using normal eject, waits until it fully reads the TOC, goes to Start Game without codes, waits for insert Disc, then swap before pressing X to start game) which enables my PS2 to load DVD's, and as soon as I got it running, it gets up to the Now Loading Screen, then nothing more happens.
I was wondering if that was a general problem with the AR2 not running RE Outbreak, my TOC (I used Time Crisis 2 which has almost full capacity) or my DVD? I have checked the DVD for errors, and my PC found nothing wrong. All my other backups work perfect and I always use Nero for burning ISO's. I also burn at the Minimum speed my Discs take. I have yet to try it on Swap Magic CD/DVD when my mate come's over.
I don't really want to invest in Swap Magic because A) My friend can no longer boot up his SM CD, B) My PS2 hates his SM DVD C) Almost the whole of this forum has had problems with their SM's not booting up properly or not at all.
I also have Action Replay 2 V2, but the only problem with that is, it only allows you to swap CD's, plus I have a demo Action Replay Max (with codes for Soul Calibur 2) which never stops the disc spinning.
Mod chips are almost impossible to get fitted round my area now that a shop near by has gone bust, and even if they were available, it'll cost the earth!
So I was wondering if A) Anyone else has had that exact Action Replay 2 compatibility problem with Resident Evil Outbreak? B) What swap disc software works on it and C) What other swap discs to recommend other than Swap Magic? Probably a hard question and I know you're all gonna say, chip your PS2!
I'd appreciate if anyone can put me round to this..
Edit: I have also tried entering a master or enable Gameshark code to see if it bypassed the problem incase it was anti mod, and that didn't work.
