you used alcohol to clean out your ps2 lens and from there it will run fine?

After i adjusted the DVD laser pot on my ps2 it has been working like a brand new one and it 4 years old now(1.3).

my ps2 is 4 years old to and i didn't adjust my lens it just work when i put alcohol on it
