I'm trying to bakcup I, Robot.
Using DVD Decrypter in read mode to a iso file
get this error very shortly after I start..
Brute Force Cracking Failed!
Device:[1:0:] TSSTcorp cd/dvdw ts-h542a ts01 d: ata
file name: vts_01_0.vob
reason: there were no vulunerable blocks
I've tried to use another dvd reader and to start powerdvd and then try to rip the dvd to disk.
Thanks

Make these adjustments also and you'll rarely have a problem - First, it should be version 3.5.1.0. Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove IFO/BUP PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO, Read Mode", "tick" "Remove IFO/BUP PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is an excellent setting for dealing with lightly scratched discs which may cause ripping problems.
Cheers,
Pete

If you are having a problem with the settings Pete has provided I would say your original is damaged or dirty.

Hello stry-ker, No problem with that one "I robot". Good Old Reliable DVD Shrink and Nero only. Main movie only,no extra crap. These two programs are great.Ps, Awesome movie and perfect quality with all of shrinks enhancements. Good luck

FEARDIZ,
We haven't heard from you for a while, since you've told us you had success using DVD Decrypter, was the rest of your backup uneventful ?
Keep us in the loop, after all, it was your thread :)
Pete
Stry-Ker,
I've looked but haven't seen what type of PC you're working with - How about cluing us in -
Tell us the following, Do you have all your PC's updates current ?
An up-to-date Firmware ?
A working ASPI layer ?
And my last 2 Questions,
1. What guide are you using ?
2. What media are you using ?
We need a starting point -
Pete
