HDL DUMP SIGNATURE !!!!!!! PLZZZZ HELP

my problem is that i load hdl dump up. I then load the iso i want to install. But heres my problem i dont get a signature were i should do in hld dump its empty so i look in the iso for the signature copy that to were it should go in hdl dump and i copy the game accross to the ps2.....but the game doesnt work (black screen) plus ive tryed all the modes. But yet if i try a old iso i get the signature in hdl dump and the game works fine..So my question is do i need a curtain program for making a iso for the ps2?? ive tryed isobuster and magiciso but i still carnt get a working signature in hdl dump... plzz help iam pulling my hair out here lol :D
