Madden NFL 2005 is protected by SafeDisc 3.2 right? Can anyone help me in trying to figure out how to make a backup? I tried using the latest version of CloneCD (with the protected game profile) to make the image, but when i try to mount it on a virtual drive with Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools, it says "Can't Locate CD-Rom" problem. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated! Thanks.

If it is in fact protected with S/D v3.2, use Alcohol to create an image under S/D 2x/3x datatype. It will work fine via Virtual Drive. Otherwise Download Aray disc scanner to find the exact version, as I believe versions later than 3.20.022 are blacklisted.

Did some research madden 05 is protected with: Safedisc 3.20.022. How are you making the image with Alcohol? Did you use the Safedisc 2x/3x datatype?

Yea I used the Safedisk 2/3 option to make the image.
After making this image I tried two things. I tried burning it to a CD and running it, but it did not work. I tried mounting it on a virtual drive on Alcohol 120 which did not work. I tried mounting in on Daemon Tools which also did not work. Everytime I ran the game it asked me for the correct cd rom as usual. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have Clone CD? If so try uninstalling it, or even disabling it from your system tray. There are known conflicts with Safedisc 3 and Clone CD.

wound up being a problem w/ the orginal. When I played the orginal, it would hang. I guess we shouldn't assume that originals form blockbusters are in good condition. I swapped it out for another one and it worked....I simply used decrypter then dis
and ISO>READ then ISO>WRITE and all was good.

then Madden NFL 2005 will not have a SafeDisc protection
Of course you know that PC games are not even in the same field as PS2 games. Its writen completely different and you can not use decrypter to backup PC games, as for PS2 decrypter will work perfectly.
I think it would be better understood if this was explained.
Example: How can I backup Madden NFL 2005 for the PS2
But im guessing -dainfam- question was related to yours in the same matter, but different format
I don't know what im talking about...im just confussing myself....shutting up now ;)

98% of PS2 games are on dvd, so you need to back them up on dvd
Quote: does the backup cd play on your PS2 without any extra tools?
You should ask this question in the PS2 forums but Ill answer you here.
their's about 3 ways of doing this
1.Mod chip
2.you need a HD and HDloader
3.Swap Magic Fix/Slide tool
4.you need DVD Decrypter to make a backup of the original PS2 game.
