dvd x copy is junk. use DVD Decrypter and dvd shrink

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

rabb, go to the DVD Shrink forum. There's a whole bunch of discussions about RE 2 and a few other DVDs with a strange protection scheme.

rabb,

If you want to continue to use XCopy, you'll need to get AnyDVD to break all the encryptions.

Have you tried other software? Because I didn't have any problems with any of them.

Yeah, Flip I have tried everything from Sony, Verbatim, TDK, Memorex. Honestly, i have never had any problems with any media (burning or playback. I have backed up every other movie using AnyDvD, and CloneDVD. I don't know what it is with these 3 movies. Actually, once it did backup LOR:Fellowhip, but the second DVD (I used 2-DVD-5's)came out horribly. I checked on my harddrive because I stored it as DvD files, and the second file on my harddrive was real jumpy, and skipped. The first half was excellent, but the second no. So I wouldn't assume that it is my media. It reads up to about 48% on LOR:Return and then it comes up with that VOB message. These copies are a little beat up, but I cleaned them and watched them back in my standalone and they came out good. I' am just alittle confused on this one. I guess I could try new copies and see. Thanks for your advice.
