You may also want to give this a try

Adjusting Target Size In DVD Shrink

Ok do this and you should have no more problems.
Open DVD Shrink
Click on "Edit"
Go To "Preferences"
Under "Preferences" You will see a little drop down box.
This is where you need to change your target size
Put the drop down box on "Custom"
Then in the box to the right of that type in "4300" GB
Hit Ok and use Shrink as normal

Problem with x8 is most stand alone DVD players won't support that speed and it is very hard if not immpossible to update the firmware on stand alone players. So the logical choice is to slow the burn speed down. The slower the better :-)

No problems with this movie with DVD Shrink - re-author mode at 4X.

Cannot recall, but if it uses Interactual DVD player - do not install and remove Interactual with add/remove program in Control Panel.

Interactual is a troublesome bitch with similar characteristics to the Roxio whore - they want it all and give nothing in return.

Hey guido, sounds like media issue. Your stand alones don't like those backup discs. Are those tdk's from a different lot? You said the other 600 were ok. Different lots, diffent manufacturers.May be a firmware upgrade. I have no trouble playing 8x on my standalones.I have even played 16x without a glitch. Try a media change.
