Copying a copied xbox game

I can create xbox backups with no problems, but when I try to copy a backup, I have many problems. First of all when I put the copy into my xbox and try to transfer the data to my pc, FlashFXP usually freezes and wont allow me to do that. And when I try to make a duplicate of the disc straight from my pc, it seems like it cannot read the data and usually gives me an error msg. Does anyone know what the problem is?
