PS2 backup freezing while playing game error reading disk message

Hey guys got a little problem here ..have a ps2 with duo 2 modchip installed...use a LG dvd burner to back up GTA san andreas....used memorex 4x dvd-r disc...the game boots and loads but when played for 5-10 mins the game freezes and error reading disk message comes on the screen ..this is my first backup I ever made and I used dvd decrypter...burn speed at 2x ...any suggestions on what is wrong...should i try a different media like fuji or maxell...any feedback is appreciated..thanks

Gta caused many people proplems. I used memorex first too and kept gettin the disc error messages. But i got it to work with a maxell dvd-r.

Errors occured with Ritek G05 for me. Both tdk dvd+r and dvd-r have worked with any problems.

Thanks guys ...going to try maxell or fuji today ..will post results...ohhh by the way is there a list of games that can and cannot be backed up and what works best for them...if not where would I acquire such info...thanks again

U should be able to back up any game. Problems occur when u use bad media.
