--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey, I'm new here and my question and problem is, I'm using the registered version of Dvd-Cloner II and it works great except for one problem, when I play it in my dvd player and other dvd players, it cuts off the movie about an hour into it each time, I select 1 disk and burn it, I've tried using movie only, but still it does the same thing, I even tried 2 disks with movie only, and it failed again, I can't figure out how to remove special features and such from it with this program if that is the case and there isn't enough room on the disk, but I don't get it, and It's driving me insane, I have wasted 4 DVD-Rs. Please help.

perhaps he did not understand after reading the instructions and needed more help and not a smart ass answer. perhap you could explain how it works instead you chose to flame him on a second post dealing with a problem he has. To me and this is my opinion you sir might just be the Jackass.

Perhaps it not the rules that he broke that bother's you. No it that someone called you a jackass and you did not care for it. And maybe if you would just be a little more understanding and a lot less rude I would not have gotten involved. Perhaps you can show us a little more of your IVY LEAGUE WIT I'm sure it would entertain us all, Oh by the way PETE you need to grow up and get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ sanderson

If you're not going to add anything constructive then keep it to yourself. If there's a problem then pm a mod with your concerns instead of derailing a perfectly good thread with your irrelevant complaints. Consider yourself warned.

I've done some checking with DVD Cloner 2 support with no good answers given to me. I asked them if they were going to come out with an updated version that would work with backups like, Garfield,Mean Girls, RE2 and Little Black Book. The only answer I got was some new movies will not work, pick out another one and try. Has anyone else had any luck getting answers? I used the other programs suggested here and was able to back up the new movies...However. DVD Cloner 2 works much better and much faster through the whole process.
Thanks

Obviouisly, you haven't ever tried intervideo's CopyDVD2, one of the fastest proggys around.

For speed AND quality and the ability to overcome Sony's ARccOS encryption:

AnyDvD + CopyDVD2

For out "n" out quality (talkin' about low-cost, 1-click proggys):

AnyDVD OR DVDD (Free)
DVD2One
CopyToDVD

They'll give your "Boy" a run for the money AND they DO WORK on the ARccOS :)

Ya have to run against every horse at the track in order to call a "Winner" at a Horse race -

Cheers,

Pete

I may get that one. However, based on the fact that I am limited to only one horse...here is my stats. DC2 for the most part decrypts and compresses in one click in about 16 to 21 minutes. Depending on the movie. For the most part it is almost always 20 minutes. The burn time on my stuff is 8 minutes. I think I will go ahead and get the duo you suggested. Also I did some reading and searches about sony's new stuff based on a post you had made. My question is "Little Black Book" Does it have Sony's new encrytion on it?

Heh, heh, wish I could answer that -

I am running the newest AnyDVD and, as we speak I ripped, that DVD with DVD Decrypter and am planning on editing then backing it up with recode2. The rip is complete with not a wimper and recode is encoding the widescreen verison right now - So far nothing and I see no problem from here on -

Cheers,

Pete

I have been using the combination of DVD Shrink and decrypter to burn my movies for a few months now (thanks for that great tutorial steve) Anyways, my issue is, it TAKES FOREVER. Not so much in the burning process but the compression with shrink. I was wondering if there was a better combination out there that could help speed this up for me. I know that part of my problem is the setup i have. I am running on 256MB SDram (SD could be prob not sure) with 2 ghz pentium processor. Is there any hope to cutting the time down? Its taking anywhere from 2-4 hours just to shrink a movie.

Actually bocheboy the time you're speaking of is probably because you are using the "quality settings" (Deep Analysis & Quality settings), or at least you should be. When doing a good quality, the encoding slows waaay down and in some apps it does it 2X to ensure a better quality backup.

Quality = time
Poor Quality = less time

Uncheck the "Quality settings" in "Backup" that will speed things up quite a bit.

A lot of your time is do to your 256 of RAM. RAM is cheap. Put at least another 256MG in there and that will help.

Me, I like a good quality backup and even with my system, it does go slow but I let t work all through the night.

I hope that helps -

Pete

I have a quick question does anyone know for dvd cloner II do you have to activate the CSS decryption when copying a disc or does it automatically pick it up.
