Hi:

I had problems backing up a DVD on a Memorex RW 4.7 GB media and now, I cannot erase or format the media.

It displays The "Unable to recover TOC" error message.

Is there a way to restore the TOC to use the media again?

The DVD Rewritable is on its way out. I would not attempt to use it again, at least not for anything critical. You may want to try another piece of software to erase the media. This method has worked for me sometimes in the past.

Thanks for the response.

I have tried Alcohol 120%, Roxio, Nero 6 and even download the DTI RetroBurner without any luck.

On the other hand, the burner is new, I was making a copy of I, Robot and for some reason it failed. I think it was Roxio. However, I have made many other backups using it without any trouble.
