I downloaded MGS off the net and now when i burn it on memorex 8x dvd -r and +r with nero, dvd decrypter and even Alcohol 120% it will not work. i have swapmagic and it goes to a black screen and will do nothing at all.. i burned at the lowest speed avail 2x- 4x. does anyone have the same problem or did they get it to work and if so can u please tell me what prog they used and what media with speed and if it was -r or +r...ive been working on this for the last three days and im about to breakdown and buy the game.. lol
spec: Plextor PX-716A burner

try changing your media,memorex suck,give ritek/vertabrium a try.burn at slowest speed using decrypter.

i burned this game with memorex DVD+R and it works. only thing is, it's really choppy and sometimes it freezes

no i checked the swap magic list and it wasnt there. does it need to be patched?

i am not quite sure,my copy works fine though,burned my copy using DVD Decrypter,x2 on dvd-r infiniti.

must be the DVD's then cause I also used DVD Decryptor and burned at 2x

I have used Memorex 8x dvd -r on my other games and it worked perfectly such as San Andreas, Mortal Kombat, Killzone, Megaman and others they all worked on memorex so how can memorex be crappy, plus others on this forum have had success with memorex. But this is the only game i cant figure out.. there has to be some setting im missing or one little change i need to do, cuz i know memorex will work on this.

I downloaded this version Metal_Gear_Solid_3_Snake_Eater_USA_PS2DVD.ISO off the net. If anyone got this same ver and got it to work can they please post what they did. thanks

I got that game backup i used memorex at 4x with 120% works fine for me.
