I burnt San Andreas, tried to play it on my ps2 and it did not work it just took me to the screen where it shows you options to go to the browser or system settings.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

try DVD Decrypter. Mode: Iso read then iso write, and burn at 1x or 2x.

I tried this with one of my son's games to see if the programs work and had some trouble. I went to Mode, ISO, Read and copied it to the hdd. Took 1 hour, 22 minutes! Then went to Mode, ISO, write and the sucker got to 98% burn (after more than 1 hour) and I got an I/O error message. Wish I had written down the error, but I was ticked off at wasting 2 1/2 hours and getting an error message. May have been the media I was using (TDK, DVD+R), but why did it get to 98% before failing?

i have a dvd burner (stock one that came on Dell computer), but it only burns dvd+r, not dvd-r. i was wondering if anybody knew for sure that games CAN be backed up on dvd+r or if they MUST be burned onto dvd-r's. thanks so much.

Does anyone suggest a certain DVD-R for a PS2 V4 Mod chip? I have Magic 3 Version 3.3, and currently I'm using some Imation DVD-R I got for xmas, and my PS2 states that it doesn't recognize it.
