I think this happened because my PS2 got refurbished. I have 10 screws on the bottom of my PS2 which indicates it's a version 1-3. My model number indicates it's a version 4 PS2. I got the flip top but it's for version 4-11 PS2's. Should I just send it back and order another one? Any help is appreciated.

10 screws on bottom of case
serial no. starts with U4.

I checked on chipzone.com and none of the PS2's serial numbers started with U4. I emailed clearxbox.com and am waiting for them to respond.

I called them after they didn't respond to the email and woah were they totally unfriendly. They barely knew how to speak english. If I exchanged the guy said it would cost me more money (shipping,) but if I returned I would get a full refund. At least that's what I understood from what he was saying. I'm just going to return it and order the v1-3 fliptop. Anyway, thanks for reading my useless bickering superstui.

BTW check with people on this site before ordering something off the internet from now on. They can probally tell you if someone is relieable or not. :)

I emailed them a week ago and they responded by saying that I would not get refunded shipping costs if I returned. Isn't that weird? Nobody in the company seems to know what they are saying. I told my mom and she's going to call them up and scream at them and stuff.

If you have 10 screws underneath and your SCPH number is 30001 then, i am pretty sure you have a version 1-3 PS2.

If this is the case, you may find it hard to find a flip top for it, but i hope i am proved wrong and they sort this out for you.
