DVD +/-RW means that they can be used more than once,in other words if you use it and want to replace the contents with something else then you can, great for testing when experiementing.
The DVD media I use are the once only media, which in other words can only be copyied to once, are TDK, Verbatim, Sony and Imation, both either DVD-R or DVD+R, whatever your player likes best.
There are many brands and all differing in quality.
Try and stay away from the cheaper media, especially unlabelled stuff.
The brands I mentioned are only some of the good ones, but these work for me. And finally a good printer, in my opinion, is an Epson R200, this will do your labelling very well, but make sure you get printable dvd media.
Good luck, I hope this is of some help.
