'The parameter is incorrect.' not sure if u can help with this but it's the last thing that stopping me from setting it up. i've got xp pro sp2 & when it was download ed & i opened the file it extracted to where i wanted it to then the setup.exe was inside some folder that was listed as 'english' for some reason. is this correct coz i've never come across anything like this when i've trying to install something... any help with this would b much appreciated.....

ummmm....yeah....i never heard of that before.....thats weird....i would tell u to try it again but im sure you already have (if not then do so). No on else has had that problem so I'm sure it's something in the way your pc is set up. The way I did it was I made a new folder on my desktop called program. When i downloaded the program i did it to this folder. Then i created another folder inside of this one called dvd gen. then i used WinZIP to extract it to the dvd gen folder. I didnt know about the extra fix file till later, so I just looked for the setup.exe file and let it load into wherever it wanted to go (I think it went into my program files folder). Later I downloaded and copied the fix file into my windows/system 32 folder and it worked. Sorry I couldn't help more but this is how I did it.

im using windows xp. rayza184, are you using windows xp? when i click the setup.exe file...it says:

C:windows.............autoexec.net. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate.

i searched up that error to fix it..and i managed to fix it, but when i fixed it, i got another error asking about another file..(which is already in that folder) so maybe it is a windows xp problem?

Na. Im using XP also. I have service pack 2.....Do you have the same?...maybe thats it...Other than that I don't know what it could be....It didn't give me a problem setting up at all. The only issue I had was that I was getting 1 error instead of 2, but the extra file fixed that right up.

WAIT...If this doesnt work check out this well written piece by Winning11. Its all there...

I followed rayza184's method and it works perfectly. Though I'm a bit perplexed on how you can shrink a game down that much in size and then it still works? Either way, score. :) Thanks for the tip! Now I have a safe backup copy!

The garbage files can sometimes be a few GB's in size.
Boy i do not remember having to do all that to make mine work. I remember using ISO Buster to extract the files, then i deleted the garbage file, then i made a new ISO without and and burned it.

Ur welcome Dravin....

Sometime it'll work without the garbage files but usually if its a game that constantly read off of the cd then it may look for the garbage files.

Aye. When I tried to a straight burn it was about the same size as yours - but it didn't work, well black screen forever, I tried the above method and no problems, booted right up.

Good luck!

Didn't work for me and I have no idea why. I made 3 coasters. The first, the PS2 said "not a valid disc". Ok, back to the drawing board. The second, I got the black screen. I burned that with Alcohol though. The last disc I burned with DVD Decrypter. Black screen. Could my version of cdvdgen be the problem ? I am using version 1.2. I opened the "star" iso with ISOBuster and everything looked perfect. Could it be the version of Swap Magic ? I am using version 3.3.

i agree with anubis 17, i did everything by combinin the STAR.000 and using all the programs. even burned it at 1x and it still doesn't work. when u swap it...it sounds like the cd is messed up and it doesnt even read. i even made the garbage files that rayza184 suggested and that doesn't work either. what am i doing wrong here? i did all the steps wit rebuild with isobuster carefully combined everything...it's just not working...help?

I'm at my wits end with this thing. I am going to try one more time and if it doesn't work, I'll just ask for the game for Father's Day from the wife & kids. It isn't a question of buying the game or not for me. It's the fun of rebuilding a working game and having it work. Being that the 1st Bloodrayne was so good, it'll nice to have the 2nd in our collection.

but this method doesn't work for me for some reason. changing the garbage files doesn't seem to work. As showed in ISOBUSTER it's says GARBAGE.
GARBAGE2.
GARBAGE3.
GARBAGE4.
GARBGGE7.

but when u open up notepad and save the Garbage files as all files you can't save them as "GARBAGE." it just won't let you put the period at the end of it. am i suppose to write something in the notepad besides writing GARBAGE. and saving it? how do i get the actually garbage files to work?

cause i don't think this is the right file size 23.1 MB (24,319,488 bytes) after putting all the garbage files and all the other files together that is the STAR.ISO file i used to burn.

i'm really confused...i followed all the steps from rebuilding it and then burned it at 1x and it still doesn't work...could it actually be Swap Magic 3.6? or my dvd burner? or the DVD-R's i'm using??
