Help With SwapDisk's and backing up games (Types of CD's)

I made a backup of my game Grandia 2 with a Maxell DVD+R and it works fine. I then went to create a Smackdown Vs. Raw backup with a Memorex DVD+R (Which had to give my DVD Burner a Firmware upgrade to burn) and it wouldnt work. I then tried to create Grandia 2 on a Memorex DVD+R and it wouldnt work either. I use Swap Magic 3 with slide card, and when I try to boot the game it says NOT A PS2 DISK!!
Is it something to do with the DVD's or what?? I copy my CD using DVD Decryptor and try to burn with Alchohol 120.

why dont you burn it with decrypter,its easier
just change the mode from read to write
have you got any dvd-r media???

Yes i tried to burn it on decryptor also, still didnt work. My DVD Burner wont allow me to burn DVD-R's when i put a DVD-R in the burner it says it is not empty.
