I can't get my copies to play on my home DVD player. It's a Toshiba SD 2109 player. Someone posted a message that some players could be 'flashed' by contacting the company's website and downloading a flash program. I understand what flashing is as I've done it to my computer's bios. Can someone verify that this procedure should be tried for people who's DVD players won't play the written format?

I would appreciate it if someone would take a minute to tell us if we can flash a home DVD player by d/ling a file from the web(?)

I did this with my Daewoo DVD player. I used to own a Toshiba 3109. From my research I found that the Toshiba could not be software upgraded. It's firmware could be hardware upgraded by a Toshiba certified technician. I think there was one place in Europe that sold firmware upgrade kits for Toshiba DVD players, but that was a long time ago and I don't have the link anymore.

Dude, im in the same boat. I have the Toshiba sd1200 and it plays a few dvd-rs. Thinking about tossing and buying a cheap one that plays dvd-r

ok i got it to work on my toshiba, here how:

I used Nero with the DVD-rom(UDF) mode with partition set at 1.02. Before i used the DVD-rom(udf/iso) mode which didnt work but this new method worked so try it. If you need more help email me
