I already posted this but no one was answering in my other topic. I just joined the forums, i needed a little help modding my ps2 and googled this forum, and it seemed pretty helpful. Anyways, i used to have the old model of the ps2 and i had a swap disc to play my back up games, all i did was crack the end of the eject disc. But i just traded that in and got the new version. I was searching around and found this http://www.clearxbox.com/site/pages/prods/pstwo_gc.html It's called a ghost switch set, and i was just wondering if anyone has heard of this. Is it reliable, does it work, and is it easy to install. And if not, is there any other way to mod the new ps2? Any help would be appreciated, and if you know please show a walkthrough or some pictures. Thanks!!
Recently, there is a brand new product called "Magic Switch" available in the market. (News from Linker4u.com). By the Magic Switch, we can use Swap Magic 3.3 on the latest PS2 console SCPH-7000X.
i would get a modchip if i were you because you dont have to swap the disc, it just boots it up. Even if you dont have a modchip, the slide set and a new V12ps2 will burn out its laser eventually because the power going to the laser is to high. i would recomend a laser fix which restricts the power going to the laser and wont burn it out.
