I am having a problem burning little black book. I was able to rip and burn re2 using voblanker and nero without any diff. LBB will rip with voblanker to hd but i get no pic however i do have sound. all the files rip without problem. anyone else having this same problem. if so holla back.

Theres a fix for little black book,for DVD Decrypter, copy and paste this into a text file,and name it,whatever,just remember where it is.

then use these instructions:Load DVD Decrypter with the Little Black Book disc in the drive.
Click File -> Protected Sectors List -> Import...
Select PSL file.
Rip away!

Tried it got invalid or unsupported file format PLUS Reason line 0 does not contain 'PSL'. WHAT IM I DOING WRONG..

Ive found out recently that the copy and paste thing doesnt always work.Try going to the website and registering(free)and go to support and youll find the PSL there:http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/

When you copy a list from this forum it will put a space at the end of each line. The first line PSL cannot have a space after the L. Remove the space and it will work.

I'm using VOBBlanker with Little Black Book, but I'm getting an error: "Input error: Reached end of VOB too early" anybody knows waht that is????

I got the PSL file to work and the movie is ripped. The problem is what can you do with it after it's ripped if you don't have a dual layer burner with dual layer discs? DVD Shrink does not recognize the files once they've been doctored with the PSL patch.
Any ideas on what to use to compress the ripped file, so you can back it up to a single layer dvd?

Download AnyDVD 4.4.1.1 beta and rip it with that until the new Decrypter comes out. Then you can Shrink normally.

The patched worked but i can't shrink it. i read the thread on dl anydvd and i did but cant get it to work.does it work independently or do i suppose to use so other software.

Hey all...
Very simple solution, on any dvd click on copy protection based on unreadable sectors. Not as impresive, but works with everything. This is the method of copy protection being used. Keep them from taking our money twice. Soon blue lasers will make the current dvds obsolete so why steel our money due to media made to be defective.

Using the PSL posted above by jim_dandy, I was able to rip the movie to my hard drive, than i tryed using DVDShrink2.3 and it gave me an erro while trying to load it so i tried DVDShrink3.2(latest version) and it worked fine using all default settings, now my problem was burning it with Nero Burning Rom 6 version (6.3.1.10), but i think i can solve this by shrinking again with DVDShrink2.3(i prefer this cus is faster and easier for me). I will keep you guys posted as to what happends..ltrz

Unfortunately the hard copy read error doesn't work with anydvd on this movie. I played around with it for a while and found that the errors are only coming from the full screen part of the DVD. Since I prefer the widescreen version anyway, I just omitted(unchecked) the full screen in DvdCopy 3 and it ripped and burned fine with anydvd running in the background.
I couldn't use shrink to analyze because it couldn't get past the fullscreen read error in it's first minute of analyzing. Same with decrypter, however any app like DvdCopy 3, Clone Dvd 2, which lists the segments will work just by unchecking the fullscreen title of the movie.

I tried the using the .PSL file. I ripped the files but they don't have sound...Please help.
Have you guys notice that both RE2 and LBB started with the same window when inserted into the DVD-ROM?

I just dled the new dvd decrypter and it ripped LBB without a hitch(without anydvd or that psl file)

He used Recode, so that's where you disable the fullscreen version. Or in whatever app you are using.
I did it in DvdCopy 3.

I have Nero Smart Start, will that work?. I tried to use DvdCopy 3 but it wouldn't let me do anything because the protection on the DVD.

Recode is in nero startsmart if you have nero ultra 6. However DvdCopy 3 will do it, it just doesn't rip without help. Like ripping to your hard drive with decrypter(use the above link and get the newest version) and then use those files in Copy 3 or running anydvd in the background and just open Copy 3. Anydvd has a 21 day trial, you might want to give it a shot, it's indispensible on my PC.
You'll face the same problem in recode, it, like DvdCopy 3, will also need help to rip the DVD. BTW, Copy 3 is a better app than recode altho I do like recode. Copy 3 has better quality and is much faster!

Using DVD Decrypter I got the movie saved but when its done and I try to burn it to a DVD it won't give me that option. So, I opened the image file with DVD Shrink and when I click backup, I get a messaging saying it's too big for the folder. What can I do?

Phil,
In your settings on any dvd click on the last feature removal or Copy protection based on ureadable sectors. Works with Clone DVD, Nero recode, and from e-mails, I'm finding few that it does not work with.

after you open shrink with your files from decrypter, click on + mark at main movie, you will see 2 titles. One fullscreen and one widescreen. (you can check them out in the preview window below to see which is which)ClicK on fullscreen and on the right side click on the drop down menu and choose still image.
That's it. You now can go to backup and choose your burner, etc. You will have a fully functional DVD with the widescreen version and a working menu with all bonus features, and good quality.
