can EA online games be patched?

I need some info on EA online games.. I tried patching DNAS and had no luck. I got a magic 3.1 chip. I get passed the DNAS check then the red screen shows up. Can you patch EA games.. and can Socom II be patched?? And what about using Disc ID's from diff games like a Socom II ID on an EA game?

Socom II thus far has not been backed up for online play succesfully.

If you own the games you might as well use the ID from that game just to be sure, and that guide on that link iantheman posted is real good.
