This article shows that a patent for XBOX2 was filed showing that basically the XBOX2 will be able to extend games' lives by linking them up with their sequels/prequels.
Since people are noticing similiarities between Halo2 and other unidentified Halo media (E3 trailer/papa face's pic) this leads me to belive Halo 3 will be able to do this - link up with Halo 2 on the XBOX2 for an interweaving storyline, which will tie up loose ends of the Halo 2 game.

i play on xbox live... my gamertag is Swift Stealth.
i think it is a combination of the fact that they ran out of time and a making of halo 3. Bungie is owned by microsoft so theorectically they have to do whatever microsoft wants because they are not independantly run. Halo 2 graphics will look even better on Xbox 2 so i dont think the graphics engine will change but halo 2 doesn't have enough drive to make a grand conclusion. In the documentary videos Jason Jones talks a lot about writing a story for the game and how great is... no offense but i wasn't too impressed with the story myself so i dont think they had time to finish it. I believe that halo 2 was intended to be the grand conclusion however with time contraints and pressure from microsoft they didn't have enoguh time to finish. it is unrealistic to release a new "HALO 2.5" so it will be released on xbox 2 with a grand finale to the trilogy and an even more powerful multiplayer. then again i am just another dude on this forum biding my time by thinking up useless opinions for video games, a rather sad existence actually...

Hey I just beat Halo 2 like just now then I came on here and i have a few questions if any of you people could awnser even would be splendid
1. Is that plant that transports Master Chief to the Covenant base part of the flood?
2. Is Cortana really captured?
3.Why do you think the Prophet of Truth escaped to Earth Would`nt he just get captured?
4. Why would Halo be a universal weapon? Would not the Covenant destroy themselves?
5. Okay are the Covenant and the humans becoming in a way allies in order to stop the flood?
6. How could Scarabs make it to Earth if they come from halo arent they too big to be carried by a Covenant ship?
7. What is the Index meant for?
I might have more questions soon . when you awnser a question then heres what to do so i can know which one youre talking about (ex.) 4. It is because...

1.) It's not a plant. It is called Gravemind, and it is part of the flood, the leader i think.
2.) Cortana is more stuck than captured, she cannot leave the computer system without the MC
3.) The Prophet of Truth is going to find the arc, and he has enough arrogance to believe that he can survive
4.) That is the whole point. They don't realize that it will kill them, they've interpreted the information as a religion, their "Great Journey"
5.) No, not really. The Elites have sort of joined the humans because of conveinience, they were basically kicked out of the covanent. Even though they have a common enemy, the covenant hates humans far more than they fear the flood.
6.) No, they're not too big, they probably have a special dropship for them
7.) The index is the key to starting the halo rings, when you put it in, trouble begins.

But I do have a few more
1. If the Elites were sort of abandoned by the Covenant then that is why they let the flood kill one of the Prophets?
2.In Halo 1 near the end Cortana accused Monitor of being a traitor. Because she nearly made Master Sergeant put the index in the slot(which would blow up the universe) and now at the end of Halo 2 Monitor is found to help out The commander, Capitan Johnson, and of course Master Sergeant. Whooh. What happened there what made a sudden friendship?
3. Monitor is the what would you say, keeper of the library is she not?
4. What is The Library`s purpose?
5.The prophets, which is the mian leader out of the three?
6. The U.S.S. is an orginazation to protect the aerospace of Earth which consist of marines from around the world. Correct?

OH HOLD YOURE HORSES! CORTANA IS CAUGHT WITH GRAVE MIND?!? NOOOOOO!!! NO THE STUPID FLOOD IS GOING TO LEARN ABOUT EARTH!!!! NO!!! IVE HAD ENOUGH OF THOSE IDIOTS! 1 The elites didnt let the prophet die they were not able to help regret because com on its MC. Mercy was killed by the infection form and prophet couldnt care less.lol
2 Well the monitor is just doing his job to stop the flood out break. its in his programing.
3Yes he is well on the first halo. 2401 penitent tangit was on delta halo.
4 possable study of the flood and the place where the index is held.
5 We believe Truth is, but who knows maybe there are even more prophets.

I dont think cortana will leak vital information to the flood. She has programing that keeps her in check so she doesnt become a traitor to the human race, or so i would think they would out in her.

I believe there will be another prophet, named Reconciliation, because if you notice, the covenant ship in the first game is called the Truth and Reconciliation. We have met with Truth. And as for who is in charge, i believe they had a council which governed them until Truth got power hungery. I think he will attempt to disband the council.
I think the prophets are more spiritual leaders than politicians, but they obviously are a little of both.

Hey man thanks for awnsering all of those questions.
For some reason I think there might be another Prophet called Prosperity and maybe he is extremely wise and nearly wipes out the human race and only The Master Sergeant and a few others of the UNSE. Including the Capitan Jhonson, The Commander, and maybe somehow the monitor will be betrayed by the Covenant.

hey maybe bungie is right. maybe there is gonna be no halo 3. bungie said halo 2 would be the last halo. but maybe there gonna make a game cooler then halo, maybe its gonna just be like halo. my point is i think the next halo 3 is gonna be called (THE ARK). But then again bungie is known for lieing. so guess we gotta wait till late 05, early 06

here are great ideas put on your xbox then then title screen comes up ohuhohouhohuhhohohohoohohouh new game and some other junk you start the game the begining cut seen comes up masterchief is on the arc keyes comes up what are you doing chief finishing this fight he hops in the arc fighting grunts and elites then the game starts dududududhduhdydudyd ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm then the title HALO 3 comes up then on the ground you pick up the covi weapons but then the arc lands on the third halo and its swarming with grunts hunters drones and much much more then a cutseene with the prophet and a few brutes bodyguards then comes a phantom and the prohet boards the ship going to the whatever and then masterchief says get em and then pelicans fly and drop on the third halo and then elites and humans get off the pelicans and then a big war starts happening and well thats just the beggining
