Yeah, they've already got a screenwriter for it too. The same guy who did the screenplays for 28 Days Later and The Beach.
I wonder why we didn't see a Gravemind-like creature on the first Halo, and why there seem to be no intermendiate classes of flood between the warriors and Gravemind, it seems like a rather large leap to me

And i agree with Novusvir, where r the middle classes?
But then again maybe Gravemind is some Mother flood that desperses all the baby floods across the universe which would explain y there was not 1 on the 1st halo.

Yeah i also agree with that, i guess the reason gravemind wasnt in the first halo is because he/it can only stay in the one spot, i mean he doesn't look like the most maunuveable thing in the world.

Everyone should know that Gravemind is a one of a kind. Is he flood, covenant or other, maybe we'll find out later in Halo 3. Also in question are Graveminds motives for keeping the Arc from being activated, good or bad? remember 'guilty spark' A 'monitor' of the first 'Halo' ring, well didn't it lead the 'MC' to believe that 'Halo' was for destroying the flood without mentioning 'and all sentient life everywhere'? oh and by the way the prophet that appears along side the monitor of another 'Halo' facility is dead. 'Gravemind' mentioned something in Halo 2 about knowing all their sins or something similar to that effect. When you see the 'Prophet' talking to the monitor does he say anything about the MC or the Arbiter? I mean, I think it's pretty stupid that the guy the 'Prophets' fear the most doesn't scare the Prophet and not talking to the arbiter directly? because they're are merely memories of a discussion that may/may not have taken place between the 'Prophet' and an old monitor that was discovered by the 'Covenant'. Plus the fact that the monitor and the prophet are presented to the MC and the Arbiter attached to 'Gravemind`s' Arms? so that means that the prophet and the monitor no longer exist as sentient beings but, as a memory in 'Graveminds' mind/brain. It also explains why he's called 'Gravemind'.
Grave =

I know I'm only a dumbass but, I feel that some people are leading themselves on wild goosechases before considering the real facts. I suggest that, it sounds really absurd, we all rerwatch the scene with gravemind until we have noted down everything he says to the letter so that we can base our arguments on pure factual research instead of Hypothesis.
Sorry if i've upset the intelectuals by being a dumbass but, I felt I had to put my opinions accross on this matter.

I'm not sure where I heard this but I think that Gravmind is actually a bunch of fallen flood that have assimilated into a higher form.

I think grave mind is a Flood because rember when Inamber Clad jumped to the cith and she said that Grave Mind used us and all of the Flood came out. He contrlos the Flood I think.

Yea, isnt that kind of scary, this is a Flood with teleporting capabilities. If that thing gets pissed, just imgaine what it would do with flood armies.

I HAVE NEVER READS ANY OF TH HALO BOOKS SO IM NOT SURE IF IM RIGHT BUT ITS JUST MY OPPINION, i think grave mind is the creators of the flood, and i think the flood are from infected marines like Master Chief or like arbitors because they can drive any vehicle and have any wopen. And fo those thinking there are to many of them, i think there are like dnas of the gravemind but not as good as him. O ya i hope xbox 2 can do better then ps3 because ps3 has 9 4.6ghz. 9!! damn i hope xbox 2 will blow them away but right now i hate to say this but im leaning toward ps3, i hope xbox 2 will do better

Yes flood r infected life forms but its also been theorized that he is made up of all the fallen Flood. And Gravemind wasnt on the first one either A) MC blew him up b4 goin to see him or B)Bc he is like a Mother flood thingy. And isnt there only 7 halo rings? And the Halo ring in H2 is installation 07 right? Maybe its the last ring built thus where gravemind was formed.

And hold on let me get this straight, I just started reading The Fall of Reach and if im not mistaken, the future Master Chief is a kid named john?
I havent read to the part yet where he becomes a spartan but his code name is (something 117)
And in the end of Halo 2 the Master Chief says this is Spartan 117) Hmmmm... Interesting.

I thought there were four other spartans but i wasnt sure. Neways do u think that these spartans might come into play in Halo 3? If not when do u think we will hear of them? What happened to them?
