Didnt Bungie before the release of Halo 2 say that we would have space battles and also venture into the Covenant homeworld?

i don't think that bungie didn't have there act togethere i think they were just spending more time on the spiltscreen and x box live because they knew they were going to get a bigger profit off of that. it halo 2 wasn't live im sure it would be a lot better they would have had room for all that stuff that they needed to cut out.

Well then again, that just shows how stupid they are. They'd rather focus on Live rather than the game that they are using Live on. Bungie used to be a good game company, but because of their careless attitude to Halo, their reputation has suffered a huge blow.

andy2000, That song that u are talking about is Blow me away.
Yea I remember reading a article saying that we would venture to the covenant homeworld. Now we ventured to a holy city but that wasnt the homeworld. Maybe its one of thoughs things that Bungie will out into Halo 2.5 or w/e the next non halo 3 game is.

The bit about Bungie in the above post is my opinion btw. Also i was talking generally, almost every halo player will say that the original was the best.
Or the idea about the homeworld was changed to a type that wouldnt use as much space on the cd, High Charity. But i can definatly remember them saying that would would be able to go the homeworld, because they mentioned it was a very cold planet, which is why the grunts wear there suits in warmer environments like earth (also for breathing methane).

Yea Halo was way better then Halo 2 in single player mode which is where i think it counts. MP is fun and all but wat about those ppl that cant get xbl. it sux bc when they go to the Halo 2 campaign they only have like 5 fun levels and they get boring after a while. Halo's levels were all fun to just go back and play except 343 guilty Spark and The Library(at least no fun for me). I hope Bungie takes the time in Halo 3 to make the campaign really fun like the original Halo.

The thing about Halo 2 is that we arent given objectives or navpoints like Halo 1. The basic aim for Halo 2 is to get somewhere before the Covenant, but in Halo 1 it was so much more in depth. You'd find yourself traversing vast areas indoor and outdoors, trying to get to a specific location, while the wraiths balls of plasma came raining down on your head. All of the excitement of Halo 1 has been removed, ok there are times when it is exciting but not to the extent of Halo 1. The Silent Cartographer/Halo , were the levels that really stand out in my mind from Halo 1, but in Halo 2 the only thing that comes to my mind is the delta halo level, i find myself not even remembering the names of the levels in Halo 2 because i lost interest. What do people think?

One thing that has come to my attention just moments ago is when i was looking at the cut scenes of Halo 2 i noticed that when (i think it was mercy) died from the flood, Cortana's Hologram is shown to be on the prophets chair. Now these chairs are likely to hold information about the Covenant, I wonder if she finds something out during this scene, because when she decides to stay on High Charity to make sure that In Amber Clad will destroy Halo if it is activated, she is seen to cross her arms and fingers behind he back asthough she doesnt mean what she is saying. Also this cut scene is called 'Cross Purposes' so that might have something to do with it.

Yea me and all of my friends all agree that Halo 1 was a lot better then Halo 2 gameplay wise. of course Halo 2 is graphically superior, but honestly who cares about graphics if the game is too boring to play and notice those graphics. Now seriously ive gone throught the whole H2 campaign once. Ive done the 1st 3 levels a ton of times and then a couple other MC levels. Ive never done Arbitor levels, besides the great journey, more then the 1st time i went through the campaign. I think Bungie made the biggest mistake by putting the Arbitor into gameplay. I understand they had to show that the elites were gonna break away from the covie and that there needed to be two players in two dif places for the storyline to work but y the arbitor. they could have put in one of the other remaining Spartans or something. Im just saying the Arbitor was the biggest mistake Bungie made in Halo 2 and i hope it is only MC in Halo 3.

Yeah i think your right, at first when i got the game i thought it was a great idea, but gradually i began to realise that it was in fact a really bad move. In Halo 1 we were given views on the Covenant (we were almost forced to believe something) but in Halo 2 we are left with two opinions one from MC and one from The Arbiter.

Sublique you should be the one shutting up. Jr24 was making his opinion and you made yours. We never critizized yours by the way.

Yeah i think the same, i think the actors wouldnt be very good at acting it, if you know what i mean. They should definatly do it as computerised, but that isnt doing to happen.
